Charlestown Middle School Volleyball Camp

Gear Up STEM Summer Camp
June 25th – 28th at Charlestown Middle School. Science, technology and engineering camp sponsored by Purdue University. and funded through a federal grant. This camp is for 7th and 8th graders, read more about this initiative here and contact Charlestown Middle School for more information.
Clark County Sheriff’s Office Hero’s Camp
June 26th, 27th, 28th by age at the Clark County 4-H Fairgrounds. The registration deadline for Sheriff Jamey Noel’s 2018 Hero’s Camp is quickly approaching. For the third year in a row, Clark County students in grades 2 through 7 will have the opportunity to experience new activities, learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun! The 2018 Hero’s Camp will take place on June 26, 2018 for 2nd and 3rd graders; June 27, 2018 for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders; and June 28, 2018 for 7th graders. More info here.

Charlestown Parks Department Summer Camps
Take 3 Theater Camp
June 25th – 28th.Has your child had interest in learning more about acting, dancing or singing? Becoming performers in their school play? Here’s their chance to learn from Charlestown’s best! The City of Charlestown – Youth & Family Sports is excited to present this new opportunity…this summer, June 25-28, any incoming 2nd-6th grader is welcome to attend the TAKE 3 Theater Camp. From 9am-12pm at Jonathan Jennings Elementary School, kids can learn from Jill Richardson, Christie Haire and Jennifer Johanningsmeier, the introductory skills of acting, dancing and singing. At the end of the week, the kids will put on a brief performance for the public (12pm on June 28 @ Jonathan Jennings Elem.).
Schoolyard Sports Camp
July 26th.The City of Charlestown – Youth & Family Sports is offering an “Schoolyard Sports Camp,” July 23 – July 26 from 9am-11:30am for boys and girls entering into grades 1st-6th grade. Come and try a variety of sports that are played in gym class and backyards. Each day we will play a new sport(s): kickball, dodgeball, wiffleball, floor hockey, disc golf, gaga ball and flag football. Enjoy an active morning full of competition, socialization and physical fitness.
Sara Nord & Kristin Mattox Cox Basketball Camp
July 16 – 19. This basketball camp is designed to teach fundamental skills that can be continued at home. Each session will build upon the next. From proper shooting technique, defense, rebounding, passing, and ball handling, campers will hear and will be guided in learning these skills from two of the top players in the history of the University of Louisville basketball program. Along with fundamental learning, campers will also participate in various camp competitions for prizes. This camp will benefit beginning to experienced players. This camp is for boys and girls entering into Kindergarten-8th grade. It will be held at Charlestown High School gym, July 16-19 from 9am-12pm.
Charlestown Little Pirate Cheer Camp
Charlestown Little Pirate Cheer is administered by the City of Charlestown – Youth & Family Sports in collaboration with the Charlestown High School Cheer Program. This program is open to Charlestown kids entering into grades Kindergarten-6th grade. The mission of this program is to provide an introduction of cheerleading under the instruction of a coach while demonstrating learned skills at the games of the Charlestown Little Pirate Youth Football League.
