What’s Happening this Weekend (7/27-29)


The City of Charlestown Parks Department will hold their 10th annual Back to School Event on Friday, July 27th at Greenway Park at 7:00 pm. The event is free for Charlestown school kids grades K-12. Kids must be present, must attend a Charlestown school and have parents present to receive supplies. One per child while supplies last. Movies in the park to follow, presenting a showing of Cars 3. It’s a Full Moon Friday – that means a Full Moon Hike at Charlestown State Park! there will be a Primer Hike at 6pm, for those who have never been on Trail 2 before to get familiar with it in the daylight first. The Full Moon Hike begins at 10pm.

If you’re looking to get outta town, the Louisville Crashers are Crashing the Jeffersonville Riverstage (again). Rock n’ Roll on the River at 9:30 pm!

Speaking of live music – the Willis Tucker Band will take the stage at American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg at 7:30pm.


Take the kids out to Drive-In Movie Night at the Sellersburg Pool, featuring Wonder Woman. Swimming from 8-9:30, and then head to the parking lot to enjoy the movie. Several other movie events will be hosted at the pool in the coming weeks, including JAWS and others. Check out their Facebook page for more info.

The one and only HONKYWOOD will pay MackDaddy’s this Saturday at 9pm.
