Clark County Annual Pasture Walk – September 10, 2018 at 6pm
Location: Dan Cristiani’s Farm, opposite Clark County 4-H Fairgrounds
The Clark County Extension Ag Advisory Council and Clark County Purdue Extension is hosting the County’s annual pasture walk on Monday, September 10th 2018. The walk will take place at Dan Cristiani’s farm opposite the Clark County 4-H Fair grounds. The event will start at 6pm
Extension forage specialist, Dr. Keith Johnson of Purdue University, Department of Agronomy will be moderating this walk. This farm was used for the County’s annual pasture walk three years ago by Keith and he is returning to the farm to take Clark county farmers on another pasture walk to see what changes, if any have occurred since the last walk.
Keith will use the walk to discuss and take your questions on forage production and utilization, including some basic weed ID and management.
The walk will be preceded by a light dinner.
Please come and join us for a light dinner and educational information that will come handy in the management of your livestock. This walk is not limited to only cattle ranchers. Sheep and goats farmers and horse owners will also benefit from the discussion.
The event is free and opened to all Clark County residents and non-Clark County residents.
To RSVP for the event or if you have questions about the event, or need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please call Clark County extension on 812-256-4591 or email Simon Kafari at firstname.lastname@example.org
