Liz Watson, congressional candidate for Indiana’s 9th district, visited Charlestown today to meet with the Charlestown Young Democrats. Liz explained that her concern for helping working class Hoosiers includes advocating for students and young adults. “I want to see young people who are able to afford college but who also have opportunities to move into trade jobs at good salaries. I don’t want to see you suffer under excessive debt,” Liz told them. When asked about what she hopes Liz can do for her, member Lauren Gains said she’s concerned about women’s rights and equal rights for everyone. Chairman of the Young Democrats, Dannon Olsen told Liz that he wants to support a candidate who has passion for helping the poor.
