Charlestown Police Department gearing up for annual Christmas with a Cop

Greetings and Happy Holidays! The Christmas Holiday is fast approaching and it’s time for the season of cheer! As you may know the Charlestown City Police Department started our annual “Christmas with a Cop” program, (formerly known as “Shop with a Cop”) which provides needy CHARLESTOWN children and their families a brighter Christmas. With the generous support of our local businesses and citizens alike; our annual “Christmas with a Cop” program has been a staple in our community that provides needy children food, toys and clothing. WE COULD NOT DO THIS WITHOUT OUR LOCAL SUPPORT!

The children that participate in our annual “Christmas with a Cop” program are all first graders who are selected by their teachers from the Charlestown Pleasant Ridge Elementary School based on their day to day interactions with their students throughout the year. Any monetary donation, big or small would go a long way in providing our needy families a wonderful Christmas that these kids will remember for years to come. If you would like to donate (cash or check), you can make your tax-deductible check out to the Charlestown Police Department’s Christmas with a Cop Program and either drop it off or mail it to the Charlestown Police Department at 701 Main St., Charlestown, In. 47111 or call Officer Adam Clark at 812-256-6345 ext. #217 and arrangements can be made for an officer to pick up the donation.

For more information or questions regarding the Charlestown City Police Christmas with a Cop program, please feel free to contact Officer Adam Clark at 256-6345 ex.217. Happy Holidays!
