Submitted – Clark County has kicked-off the development of a new a comprehensive plan that will serve as a “roadmap” over the next 20 years. If you live or work in Clark County, we need your help to decide what is best for the future.
The Clark County Comprehensive Plan will serve as a statement of the community’s vision, providing direction for future development within the community. It will also include an analysis of existing conditions, articulate goals, form strategies for land use, transportation and community facilities, and provide specific action steps to be taken over the next 20 years. “The plan is in the visioning stage of the process and is based on public input and feedback to help identify issues or challenges we need to address as well as assets that should be leveraged. We highly encourage anyone who is interested to attend the meeting and share their ideas,” said Connie Sellers.
The first two opportunities for the public to participate in the planning process will be held on November 8th and 15th.
These kick-off meetings will be held at Henryville Jr/Sr High School on Thursday, November 8th from 5:00-7:00 PM, and Thursday, November 15th from 5:00-7:00 PM at New Washington Middle High School.
The meetings will be held as an open house where you can stop by for as little as 15 minutes to share your thoughts. People of all ages are encouraged to attend, so bring the family and help plan the community’s future. We hope to see you there!
