Arrests made in shootings of Judges Adams, Jacobs – statement made by representative of both Judges and their families

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has arrested two people in the shooting which occurred at 55 W. South Street on May 1, 2019. Detectives arrested 23-year-old Alfredo Vazquez and 41-year-old Brandon Kaiser for their alleged roles in the shooting of Clark County Judges Drew Adams and Brad Jacobs.

Adams and Jacobs were in Indianapolis for a Judicial conference when shot in the parking lot of a downtown White Castle on May 1st. Both are now in stable condition and recovering well.

“Everyone is pleased that these two individuals have been taken into custody,” said Larry Wilder, representative for both Judges and their families. “The families understand the legal system and due process and fully expect that the Marion County Prosecutor’s office will proceed in a professional and conscientious manner.”

This case is currently being reviewed by the Marion County Prosecutors office.

Wilder added, “Also, they are happy that no one from law enforcement was injured when apprehending these individuals.”
