Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Community Ticket Grant program now open for application for 2019-20 season

Louisville, KY – Actors Theatre of Louisville announces the return of the popular Community Ticket Grant program for the 2019–2020 Season, sponsored in part by Brown-Forman. This local initiative extends the opportunity to experience Actors Theatre’s vibrant programming to any Louisville and Southern Indiana community groups and 501(c)(3) organization who are interested in sharing theatrical experiences with their constituents.


Last season, the Community Ticket Grant program served 43 area charities, translating into theatrical experiences for about 1,400 local residents. 

Melissa Hines, Actors Theatre Marketing Manager, shares the excitement about the Community Ticket’s fourth season, “We are working hard to anticipate and remove barriers to artistic programming, especially for our neighbors. Past participants have shared the positive impact on their members and constituents. It goes to show that arts experiences really are the gift that keeps on giving!”

Qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations and community groups serving individuals in the greater Louisville and Southern Indiana area are invited to apply to receive complimentary tickets to select performance of Actors Theatre’s 2019–2020 Season. The selected groups will be awarded tickets to one of their three production choices. Groups will work with the Actors Theatre Marketing Department and Box Office to coordinate attendance details and seating selection for their group members.

Deadline to submit applications is August 9, 2019.

As part of their grant applications, groups may request tickets to select performances of the following productions in Actors Theatre’s 2019-2020 Season.

Actors Theatre of Louisville Community Ticket Grant Program

Actors Theatre welcomes 501(c)(3) organizations and community groups to experience the 2019-2020 Season!

Through this program, sponsored in part by Brown-Forman, these groups experience an evening of world-class theatre created in Louisville.

501(c)(3) organizations and community groups are granted tickets based on the organization’s mission, the individuals they serve and their ability to fully utilize any donated tickets.

Who Can Apply: 501(c)(3) organizations and community groups that serve individuals in the greater Louisville and Southern Indiana area that for various reasons do not have the resources to attend a performance on their own.
